About

My name is Angela Panek and I received my bachelor’s degree in nursing almost 6 years ago from Regis Angela PanekUniversity in Denver, CO. I also have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Colorado, Boulder. I have been a medical/surgical nurse, pediatric oncology nurse and I currently work in adult oncology. I also teach at two local nursing schools, Denver School of Nursing and Front Range Community College.

Medicine has always been a passion of mine ever since I got a serious viral illness at the age of twelve. I became a volunteer at a local hospital shortly after and wanted to become a doctor. In college I realized becoming an MD was not what I wanted to do. I saw my friends in medical school, and I changed my focus. Nursing…I have never regretted my decision.

After teaching for a few months, I realized that I have a lot of philosophies in nursing that I share with my students. I decided to post them on a blog site to help out not only nursing students, but also professional nurses and others as well. My philosophies span beyond the nursing field into life as well. I have always wanted to help out others in whatever way I could.

So this site is about lessons I have learned in nursing, but those lessons have taught me more about life and love as well.
